There are different types of electrical switches are use in all over the world. The main purpose of electrical switch is the break or interrupts the current. Selection of electrical switches are based on the differnt types of applications which vary on the uses and applications. 

There are several types of selector switches available in the industry. Following are several types of electrical switches which use in modern electrical engineering industry.

Selector Switches:

Selector switches are widely used in electrical engineering industry. There are select one, two or more positions of electrical momentary operations. Good example for domestic electrical switch is the switch of electrical fan.

Push Button:

Push button is also very common types of electrical switch. Some push button consists indicator lights also.

Toggle Electrical Switches:

Toggle switches are actuated by a lever angled in one of two or more positions. it more like selector switch type.
